WE RETURN CALLS — COAST TRADES DESK DRAFT v0.3 · COAST RATES — HARDENS AT THE SUPPLY TEST
The rate board · research draft

WHAT COAST TRADES ACTUALLY CHARGE

Sunshine Coast hourly bands — one board, Coast rates only. Built from published market research and one live Coast listing; every number tagged by how it was sourced. As trades hand over rate cards, each band hardens from research into real, and this board carries a version number every time it moves.

Typical Coast band — not a quote. The desk's estimate is the quote. Bands are trade-generic: no named business ever appears next to a number. Bands harden to real at five trade conversations, then stand as the desk's board on wereturncalls.ca.

Main board

The rates. Coast only.

Customer-facing hourly bands for solo-to-small-shop operators — the lane the desk serves. Typical-Coast ranges, not quotes; where the desk is still collecting, the real number lands from trade rate cards at the supply test.

Bands, not prices. Typical-Coast ranges — the desk's estimate is the quote. Each band's sourcing and every reference number lives in SOURCE-LOG.md; real trade rate cards land here at the supply test and the board hardens to v1.0.
Service add-ons

Bins, power washing & appliance fixes

Unit-priced services the desk also books and batches. Different units, same rules: trade-generic, not a quote, and tagged by how the number was sourced.

Service Sunshine Coast pricing Desk angle + basis
Garbage bin cleaning
per can, per visit
collectinglocal operators welcome: one truck, one street, collection-day run SHAPE COLLECTINGA coast street-run (8–14 cans, one collection-day morning) beats the published one-time price outright. Wastewater-capture rig required — no storm-drain rinsing.
Power washing
per m² + flat jobs
$5/m² fixed
min job $85 · typical job ~$200 — published, Coast-area card
PUBLISHED COLLECTING (locals)Moss + wet winters keep demand strong on the Coast. Handyman-lane: ground-level surfaces, customer's water access; never roofs/ladder-height. Batched with bin runs = one truck, two services.
Appliance repairs
service call + rates
collectingrural techs price the visit — expect travel add-on PUBLISHED (ref.) COLLECTING (Coast)LICENSED lane: appliance techs only — never DIY inside an appliance (microwave capacitors, gas dryers = gas fitter). Desk multi-applies a run: fridge + washer + dishwasher in one tech visit instead of three service calls.
Why these three: they ride the same batching engine as everything else — a bin run and a power wash share one truck; an appliance tech visit covers three appliances in one stop. All three harden to real numbers the same way: rate cards from the supply test.
How the numbers get real

From research draft to rate cards

Supply test — 5 trade conversations

This board is the prop. Every call asks "is this right for the Coast?" — each correction is an easy yes for the trade, and the ask feels like research, not recruitment.

Rate cards — one per trade

The 9-field tailgate sheet (rates by job type, markup %, call-out, permits, job templates, hours, radius, capacity). Desk prices from the card only, never on its own.

Delta log — estimate vs final

Every completed job logs band-given vs invoiced. Quarterly review refreshes the board so bands never go stale (stale bands burn trust).

v1.0 — corrected, then public

Research tags retire; bands stand on trade cards. Public copy stays trade-generic, "not a quote," no named businesses. Goes live on wereturncalls.ca on Sam's go.

v0.3 2026-11-05 — Coast-only restructure: wages + city columns removed (Sam's go) · v0.1 research · v0.2 service add-ons · next tag: supply-test corrections
