COASTWIDE · BC WE RETURN CALLS
Small jobs · booked & batched

Hi — we're the desk that actually calls back.

Can't get a Sunshine Coast tradesperson to answer or ring you back? That's the whole business. One number, a same-business-day callback — and if it's an easy fix, we'll just tell you how to handle it yourself. Free.

Sound familiar?

You called four of them.
None called back.

It's not rudeness. It's arithmetic.

Small jobs lose trades money

A 45-minute fix can mean an hour of quoting, an hour of driving, and an invoice for less than the fuel. So your message sits unheard.

02

The Coast is spread out

Langdale to Pender Harbour is 80 km of scattered addresses. One-off trips eat the day before the work even starts.

03

Half of it was DIY anyway

Nobody tells you the drip was a 90-second aerator clean. We do — free — before anyone books anything.

The fix isn't nagging harder. It's a desk that answers, tells you honestly whether you even need a tradesperson, and batches the rest into neighbourhood runs so doing it makes someone a proper day.

How it works

Three steps. One callback.

1

Tell us the job

Call, or use the live chat below. Say what's wrong in plain words — photos if you can. If it's an easy DIY fix, we hand you the steps right there.

2

We call back the same day

A person from the desk returns your call the same business day with straight answers: DIY, handyman run, or licensed trade — plus a price band.

3

Booked into a batched run

If it needs hands, your job joins others on your street for a scheduled day. Trades get a full day of work; you get someone who actually shows up.

The triage

Three lanes.
Right-sized, every time.

Every call lands in exactly one lane — and the cheapest honest one comes first.

DIY guidance

  • Dripping tap — aerator & cartridge help
  • Running toilet — the 10-minute flapper fix
  • Dead outlets — find the tripped GFCI
  • Door won't latch — striker & hinge adjust
  • Stuck window — track clean & lube
  • Caulk, grout & furnace filter refresh

If it's safe and simple, we coach you through it on the spot — no booking, no fee.

Handyman runs

  • Faucet, fixture & washer swaps
  • Doors, locks, hinges & window hardware
  • Drywall patches, paint, caulking
  • Decks, fences, gates & railings
  • Shelving, assembly & to-do-list walls
  • Gutters, pressure washing, bin cleaning & yard smalls

Vetted Coast roster, booked into neighbourhood runs so small jobs are worth a full day.

Licensed trades

  • Anything gas — TSBC-licensed fitters only
  • Electrical — licensed contractors, permits incl.
  • Suites, duplexes & strata — licensed by law
  • In-wall & permitted plumbing work
  • Appliance repairs — washers, dishwashers, ranges, microwaves (licensed techs; never DIY inside)
  • Structural, roofing & envelope work

We don't teach regulated DIY. Licensed, insured, permitted — and we still book it for you.

Strata jobs — same desk. Strata councils and property managers: batched, logged, returned. DIY items handled as handyman runs; common-property gas/electrical goes licensed by law — same call-back promise.
Straight lines, no exceptions: DIY guidance covers safe, simple fixes only — nothing gas, nothing inside the electrical, nothing on a roof or ladder. Licensed work goes to licensed contractors with permits. Whatever the lane, the desk tells you which one you're in on the first callback.
What it costs you

The call is free.
The fix-it-yourself help is free too.

$0

Call or chat the desk

Every contact answered or returned the same business day — with an honest lane call, including "you don't need us, here's how you'd do it."

Free. Always. It's the name.

$0

Diagnosis + price band

Text photos of the job; the callback carries a realistic band — likely cost and worst case, assumptions stated. Never a fake-exact phone quote.

Free with every callback.

$0*

In-person assessment

If the job needs eyes on it, a visit fee applies — and it's deducted from your invoice when you book the work. Booked job = free visit.

*Assessment fee credited back on booking.

What a "band" sounds like: faucet swap · likely $180–$260 — "if the shutoff valves are seized, worst case $360, and we'll show you before we turn a wrench."
For Coast tradespeople

Hand us your
Nope pile.

You know the voicemails: the $150 drips and wobbles you'll never get back to. Forward them to the desk instead of losing them — your customers get helped, your calendar stays clean, and you look good doing it.

Hands joined in a team high-five
  • Pre-scoped work: every job arrives described, photographed, and triaged. No phone tag. Ever.
  • Batched routes: 4–6 jobs in one neighbourhood, one day. Drive once, bill all day.
  • Your rate card, our arithmetic: estimates computed from your posted rates. The desk prices nothing on its own.
  • The desk handles the client: reminders, scheduling, and the "so what happens next" calls.
THU · DAVIS BAY LOOP — 5 JOBS09:00 faucet + 2 cartridges · scoped ✓ 10:30 gate re-hang · photos ✓ 13:00 licensed: panel check · permit ✓ est. billable 6.2 hrs @ your card

The Nope pile, handled: hand us a number and that's the whole job — text it, forward the voicemail, email it, two words if you know them ("leaky tap") or zero if you don't. We call it cold, explain who referred them, and take it from there. Tell the customer one sentence on your way out — "I can't take it, but the desk calls you today" — and nobody's blindsided.

The boomerang: your referred drip turns out to be a repipe? It comes back to you first. Weekly or twice-weekly roster check-ins, whatever cadence suits you — and white-label if you want the credit: "Rick's office asked us to call you."

Tell us live

Describe it. We'll diagnose it.

Chat with the desk's intake right now — typing is fine. If it's an easy fix you'll get the DIY steps immediately; if it's not, your ticket queues for a same-business-day callback from a person.

DESK-AI · live intakeNever quotes. Never diagnoses past its lane. A person always closes the loop.
Emergencies don't belong in a chat box: gas smell → outside + 911 / FortisBC 1-800-663-9911. Active flood or sparks → 911.
Straight answers

Asked on the Coast.

You'll really help me fix it myself, for free?
Yes — when it's a safe, simple fix (aerator, flapper, struck latch, tripped GFCI, caulking). The chat gives you the steps; if any step feels past you, say so and it becomes a booking. We figure the goodwill is worth more than the $95 job, and seniors on the Coast talk.
Who actually shows up to do the work?
A vetted Coast handyman from the roster for handyman-lane jobs, or a licensed contractor when the law or the work calls for it. The desk stays your single point of contact either way — you never chase anyone.
What if it's a gas or electrical job?
Licensed-contractor job by law (Technical Safety BC), booked with a licensed, insured pro, permits where required. If your home has a suite or is attached (duplex, townhouse, strata), most electrical needs a licensed contractor, full stop. We don't coach regulated DIY.
How fast is "same business day," really?
Call or chat before mid-afternoon and you hear from us that day. Evenings and weekends, the next business day. Either way: a straight answer, never voicemail into the void.
Why a price band instead of one exact number?
Honest pricing from photos is a range with assumptions stated. Anyone quoting exact sight-unseen is guessing, and you'll pay for the guess. You get the band first, confirmed on site before work starts.
What does "batching" mean for me?
Your job joins a run with neighbours' jobs — Tuesday in Sechelt, Thursday in Gibsons. That efficiency is the whole reason tradespeople take our small jobs, and why diagnosis stays free.
Where do you cover?
Langdale to Pender Harbour — Gibsons, Roberts Creek, Davis Bay, Wilson Creek, Sechelt, Sandy Hook, Halfmoon Bay, Madeira Park. Outside that, call anyway; if we can't do it fast, we'll say so instead of not calling back.

One more thing you don't have to chase.

Call, chat, or just text the photos. The desk answers, triages, and calls you back — today. That's the entire pitch.
